Political Cartoon #2

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel

  • What does this cartoon suggest?
  • Should students begin learning more about the political issues (shown on the white board) in school? Why or why not?
  • How is education affected by these political issues?

  1. I believe this political cartoon says that we should be prepared to not have everything in the begining such as jobs and money to support ourselves. It says we should get as much help as we can because not everything will be given to us.
I do beleive that students should learn more about the topics on the white board. It will better prepare us for real life situations and help us in the long run. There is a good chance that we will have to fill out one of these forms on the white board one day so we should learn about it earlier so we won't be confused later.

  2. I think this cartoon is saying that the economy is so poor right now that after graduation we need to be prepared for the things shown on the board. Unemployment is so high right now that after graduation it will be difficult to find a well-payed job. I do beleive that students and even adult should learn about these topic to be prepared for what is necessary after graduation. Many graduates will sadly be jobless after graduation, therefore may need to use these resources given.
